Self care

The weekend can be a tough time for a lot of people who are grieving. One thing it has taken me a long time to learn is the importance of self care and listening to my brain and my body to how I need to look after myself.

As we go into the weekend I thought I would share some of the things that work for me.

Swimming - very good stress release

Chatting to friends - some people I share some very indepth conversations, some very silly humour but all help to enrich my life.

Audiobooks - I was an avid reader for years but now I can't manage the focus to read but an audio book fills the gap.

The photo is one of my favourite pools at Hitchin - unfortunately now closed for the season.
